Jeremy Barnard is the 4th-generation Broker and Owner of Coastal Realty, a commercial real estate firm rooted in Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley since 1962. What began as a family legacy has become his life’s work — spanning brokerage, property management, and land development across South Texas.
Licensed since 2009, Jeremy’s career covers the full spectrum of commercial real estate. As Regional Manager with Drennan Companies, he led operations across 18 self-storage facilities under the Storage Depot brand, managing a staff of over 50 while also overseeing the industrial leasing of large warehouse properties. He later served as General Manager of River Bend Golf Course, where he spearheaded a full revitalization of the facility — growing annual rounds played from 15,000 to 28,000 — and led planning for the future development of the surrounding 300-acre project.
In 2019, Jeremy expanded the Coastal Realty platform by acquiring the property management division and folding it into the family business, adding full-service commercial management to Coastal’s brokerage operation. In 2024, he became Broker of Record and principal owner — the latest chapter in a business his family has operated for over six decades.
Today, Jeremy oversees commercial leasing, property management, and active development projects throughout the RGV. He holds a degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and is deeply invested in the long-term growth of the Brownsville community — professionally and personally.
